Cooking Instructions for making ★ Steamed Kawaii Gyoza (dumpring)★
Put the flour and boiling water in a bowl and mix it with chopsticks. When it is warm enough to touch, gather it together and knead it for about 3 minutes, then leave it for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, Peel the shrimp, devein them and roughly chop them.
Add ground pork, shrimp, soy sauce, potato starch, sesame oil, and chicken stock powder to a bowl and mix well. Set aside.
Again, knead the dough thoroughly until it becomes smooth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Take three 15g pieces of dough from the finished dough and dye them with your favorite food coloring.
Divide the remaining dough into 20 pieces.
The white dough is rolled out with a rolling pin and wrapped around the meat filling. The colored dough is rolled out thinly and cut into small flower shapes.
Place the flower parts on the wrapped dumplings and press the centre with the back of a toothpick to attach them.
Steam them for about 7 to 10 minutes.
The small flower cutters are used in Japanese confectionery crafts. I bought them from @boochandcarca.shop on Instagram.
