Cooking Instructions for making Sausage & Broccoli Pasta
Grab a large non stick pot and place over medium/high heat, add the olive oil, sausage meat and begin to fry for 2-3 mins until the meat starts taking on colour. Add the fennel seeds and stir through and fry for a further 2-3 mins.
Turn the heat down to medium, add the broccoli and chilli flakes and cook for 3-4 mins stirring constantly so it doesn’t burn.
Once cooked through, take off the heat and set aside. Fill a large pan with boiling water and add 1 tbsp of salt and bring to a boil. Add the pasta and cook to packet instructions, remove 2 mins before for al dente and drain and place back in the pan.
Grate the garlic clove into pasta and then add the sausage mix and stir through. Check seasoning, adjust if needed. Drizzle over some olive oil, garnish with flat leaf parsley and add the parmesan if you desire. Serve and enjoy.
