Ingredients for Homemade vegetable dumplings #recipemarathon
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/2 cup warm water
- For the filling
- 1 cup sliced green onion
- 2 eggs
- 1 grated carrot
- 2 tbsps vegetable oil
- Paprika
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce

Combine the flour, salt and warm water in a bowl and mix until well combined. Roll it out and knead until smooth
Divide the dough into 8 equal parts depending on your preferred size of dumpling.
Roll out the pieces into thin circles
For the vegetable filling, fry oil in a medium heated pan and add the green onions.
Best the 2 eggs and add in the pan once the onions become transparent.
Add in the grated carrots and spices and mix well. Finish off with the light soy sauce and leave aside to cool.
Fill the dumpling wraps with the cooled off vegetable filling and fold using your fingers to form pleats. Repeat with the remaining wraps.
Add a splash of water on a clean pan and add the dumplings. Cover with a lid to steam. Once the water evaporates..add in vegetable oil to the same pan until the bottom starts to brown.
Transfer the cooled dumplings in a plate and enjoy with a side of ketchup or any dipping sauce of choice.
