Cooking Instructions for making Carrot halva
In a pan add 1 teaspoon ghee and roast the nuts until lightly golden. Turn off the heat and add saffron to it and mix. Set aside
In a pressure cooker, on medium heat add 2 tablespoon ghee and once hot add sliced carrots. Sauté for 2 minutes and add milk to it. Mix well and lock the pressure cooker lid. Cook for 2 whistles on low heat. Let it sit until all pressure released naturally.
Mash the carrots with a masher. Transfer in a pan and cook while stirring occasionally until all the milk is absorbed. Add in sugar and let it cook until all liquid absorbed. Add in milk powder and cook until it starts leaving sides.
Add in cardamom and nuts and mix well. Turn off the heat and transfer in serving dish. Garnish with saffron, poppyseeds and slivered almonds and pistachios. Enjoy ☺️
