Ingredients for Broccoli fritters 🥦🌶️
- 1 whole broccoli florets only 🥦
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 🧄 🫚
- 11/2 tbsp green chillies paste
- 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes 🌶️
- 1/2 tsp mixed herbs 🌱
- 3-4 tbsp gram flour
- 11/2 tbsp rice flour
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder / kashmiri powder 🌶️
- 1 tsp nigella seeds
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp coriander cumin powder
- Salt to taste 🧂
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg 🥚
- 1 tsp finely chopped Coriander leaves 🍀
- 1 tsp finely chopped spring onions 🧅
- 1 pinch asafoetida optional
- Oil for deep frying
Cooking Instructions for making Broccoli fritters 🥦🌶️
Clean, Cut broccoli florets head into bite size florets 🥦and wash them, keep aside.
In a mixing bowl 🥣, add gram flour, rice flour, ginger garlic paste 🧄🫚, green chillies paste,🥚 egg light beaten, add water 💦 mix well, the batter should be medium -thick consistency batter to coat on broccoli florets (don’t make a running batter) add spices – mixed herbs 🌱, red chilli flakes 🌶️, paprika powder/ kashmiri powder 🌶️, nigella seeds, sugar, cumin seeds, coriander cumin powder, salt🧂, finely chopped spring onions 🧅 & coriander leaves 🍀.
Add a pinch of asafoetida if using, Heat oil in a wok and coat the broccoli florets 🥦 in the batter, remove excess batter, and drop gently in the oil and ( do not overcoat broccoli florets 🥦 with batter or they will be soggy,deep fry until golden brown. Garnish with fried green chillies.
Serve hot with coffee ☕🫖 tea and tomato ketchup 🍅
