Cooking Instructions for making Kienyeji chicken with carrot rice and steamed cabbage
Wash your chicken…..roast a bit using a jiko…..after put in a pot, boil for about 20mins…..until all the water has ended….now add chopped onion……(I didnt use any oil on the chicken it was very fat)
Stir and tomatoes, paprika and salt stir again leave it to cook well…..you can add a little water for soup if you like…….I normally like to add a potato for the soup to be heavy….when ready remove from fire garnish with coriander
For carrot rice…….fry the remained onion till golden brown…. Now add your grated carrots, salt…..stir add rice water
When rice water has boiled, rinse your rice add to the water, stir twice and cover with a lid let it cook very well…..mean while steam your cabbage waiting to served……when the rice is ready remove from fire…..,!
