Ingredients for Black Pepper and Vegetable Jollof Rice
- 500 g Rice
- 75 g Gino Jollof Mix
- 1 tbs Onga Classic Seasoning Powder
- 1 tbs Onga Stew Seasoning Powder
- Diced Green Capsicum
- 5 tbs Diced Onions
- 1 tsp Curry Powder
- Meat Stock1/2Cup
- Peppered Beef
- 1/2 tsp Chilli Pepper Powder
- Dash Salt (optional)a
- Sunflower Oil 11/2cksp
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Cooking Instructions for making Black Pepper and Vegetable Jollof Rice
Make a paste with Jollof mix,by adding lil water and mix well, set aside
Assemble others,next wash rice,set aside
Heat up oil in a pot,when hot,add onions on low heat, stirfry for 1min,add Jollof mix,stir fry till oil floats ontop
Now,add meat stock,and 3cups of water,add Curry,black Pepper, chilli Pepper,onga seasonings, cover,bring to boil and increase flame to med
Now,add rice, cover,before water dries up,taste to adjust with any ingredient or salt
When water dries,it’s either you reduce flame to low and cover with the shiny part of foil paper,with lid on foil paper for 10-15mins till it’s soft or you reduce flame and sprinke water bit by bit,then cover with lid till it gets soft
Once it’s 98%done without water,add diced bell pepper,stir in,cook for 2mins on low heat,you may open the pot at this stage
Remove from heat,stir only with a wooden spatula,for proper mixing but don’t press it to mash..
Plate and enjoy 💃 with peppered Meat
