Ingredients for Buttered Sauteed mixed vegetables
- Assorted bell peppers; Red, green n yellow
- 1 cup green garden peas
- 2 carrots
- 2 medium onions
- 1 tsp cooking oil
- 1 tbsp margarine
- to taste salt
Cooking Instructions for making Buttered Sauteed mixed vegetables
Clean all your vegetables n set aside.
Dice them all separately into cubes.
In a sufuria, bring water to boil, add salt. Add in your green garden peas n let boil for 5 mins.
Drain n pass them in cold running water. set them a side.
In a frying pan, Add your cooking oil, heat abit then add some onions n not all of them.
Sautee them to almost brown. Add salt n stir.
Add in carrots n continue stirring.
Cook them for 5 mins on low heat or until soft.
Add your margarine n mix well.
Add the onions that u had left behind..still stirring.
Add green peas. mix well then cover your sufuria or frying pan. simmer for 5 mins on low heat.
After 5 mins, add your assorted bell peppers, mix thoroughly, taste n correct your seasoning, put off the heat n cover your sufuria for 2-5 mins then serve.
If you had prepared rice you can add them inn, mix well using a kitchen fork n serve your vegetable rice while hot. If theres no rice, feel free to use them the way they are or else you use them to make African beef stew.
