Ingredients for CarrotJollof Rice
- 75 g Gino Party Jollof Mix
- 175 g Carrot paste
- Rice 500g
- Vegetable Oil 1-2cksp
- Meat Stock 1Cup
- Fried Meat
- Thyme 1)2tsp
- Onga Classic Seasoning Powder 1tsp
- MaDish Curry and Chicken Seasoning Powder 1/2tso
- Hot Water 3-4Cups
- Mixed Spices 1/4tsp
Cooking Instructions for making CarrotJollof Rice
Wash and drain your rice,set aside
Add lil water to tomato paste, stir well,this is to enhance proper mixture,doneness and prevent burning
Now,heat up oil,add thyme,when oil is hot,after 3secs,add carrot paste,drizzle any seasoning of choice,stir fry in med heat for 10secs,now,add jollof mix, drizzle lil seasoning,stir fry for 5secs,add rice,reduce flame to low heat,stir fry,max 2mins,this is to prevent the rice from being soggy..
Add meat stock and water,with other ingredients
Set flame at low/ med,bring to boil,cover it
When it boils taste to adjust with any ingredients of choice,stir in lightly,when water dries,if it not soft or done,you can add lil more water reduce flame to low’,cover with shiny part of foil paper 10-15mins
Next taste to adjust seasoning if possible but you need to add just lil of any ingredients,stir in,after extra 2mins,stir well with a wooden spatula,let it cook open for 2 miore mins max
Plate and garnish with meat
