Ingredients for Chicken Mshkaki/veggie fried rice/yoghurt dip(trial and error)😋
- 2 cups rice
- Tumeric
- Salt
- Water
- Pre boiled peas
- 2 chicken breasts
- Cumin,black pepper,salt
- 6 wooden skewers
- Plain yoghurt
- Dhania
- Garlic
- Black pepper whole
- Bell peppers,yellow,red green
- Ginger

Dice the chicken into cubes.Marinate for an hour or longer in black pepper,tumeric,crushed ginger and garlic,and two spoonfuls of yoghurt.Mix well.Also soak the skewers in water before use…(not sure why they did that)
Cook the rice in tumeric and a pinch of salt.In another bowl saute onions and the cooked peas.When ready add on to the already cooked rice and stir carefully with a fork just to blend the peas in and set aside.
After(prefered)time,place the pieces of chicken in through the skewers followed by the bell peppers and repeat the process untill all chicken is used.
Place on a hot pan/grill….I used an oiled non stick pan.Keep turning the chicken over so that all the sides are cooked.
My favourite part is the Dip!!!crush a tspnful of whole black pepper and a small bunch of dhania in a motor and pestal.Do the same with garlic and ginger to form a paste.Add all these into a bowl of plain yoghurt,lastly add a dash of lemon juice.
