Cooking Instructions for making Colorful Carnival pancakes
Prepare basic pancake batter. Mix milk with water, add some salt and sugar. Add sifted flour in portions. The batter should be liquid and homogeneous.
Divide the dough into three equal parts. Add the finely grated beetroot and juice to one. Add the carrots to the other. Add the dye or scalded and chopped spinach to the third.
Mix well and add two tablespoons of vegetable oil to each dough. Mix.
Fry thin colored pancakes in a preheated frying pan.
Let the finished pancakes cool.
Spread three different fillings on pancakes of different colors. Roll up. If the pancakes are thin, like mine, then roll up several layers.
Cut into equal pieces. Decorate with caviar.
Or you can leave the pancakes without filling them! They turn out thin, tender, with a neutral taste, and are perfect for sweet toppings, such as honey.
