Ingredients for Creamy Chicken pie
- 4 Chicken breasts
- 6 Baking potatoes
- Salt and pepper
- 100 ml Double cream
- 4 Handfuls peas
- Butter for mash
- Cheese for topping
- 50 g Butter
- 5 TBSP Plain flour
- 450 ml Milk
- 60 g Cheese
Cooking Instructions for making Creamy Chicken pie
Start by boiling a saucepan of water ready for the potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut into chunks, add to the boiling water
Pre heat the oven to 200
Dice the chicken into chunks and cook off until throughly cooked
Add the butter to a saucepan and melt, add the plain flour until it’s like a paste
Add the milk in a little at a time and keep stirring, when the sauce is thickening start to add the cheese
Add the chicken into the sauce and mix together
Cook the peas and add them into the sauce mix
Drain the potatoes and mash them down until there are no lumps, add in the butter, cream, salt and pepper and mix
Add the chicken and sauce mix into the oven dish or air fryer tray and add the mash on top, smooth it out but make some holes so it can heat all the way through
Add the cheese on top and leave it to cook for 20 mins to go golden brown. Once it’s cooked take it out and leave it to cool for 5 mins so the cheese can set
