Ingredients for Dessert/savory flatbread
- 325 g plain flour
- Tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 177 ml warm water
- Tsp instant yeast
- Tsp vanilla extract/honey
- Tsp olive oil
Cooking Instructions for making Dessert/savory flatbread
In a small bowl, add your warm water, yeast, sugar and vanilla and wisk together.
Set aside until frothy.
In A medium size bowl add your flour and salt.
Add your water and yeast mixture slowly to the flour mixture until it forms a dough.
Transfer your dough to an oiled bowl and coat the dough in oil.
Place a clean tea towel on your bowl and leave your dough to rest for 2 hours (until doubled in size)
Lightly flour your counter and divide the dough into 4.
Roll the 4 pieces of dough into balls and transfer them to your prepared baking tray.
Cover them and Let them rest for 30 minutes.
While you are waiting preheat your oven to 200c
On your lightly floured surface, take a dough ball and roll out your flatbread shape. Continue the same with the other 3 dough balls.
Transfer your flatbread back to your prepared baking tray, sprinkle with a little sugar. (If savory add garlic or even leave plain)
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
Allow them cool before slicing.
Slice them in half and add Nutella, peanut butter your choice of fruit or if it is savory, cheese, onion whatever you want!
