Ingredients for Garlic-Parm Breadsticks
- 260 grams very warm water (but NOT hot)
- 7 grams yeast
- 16 grams granulated sugar
- 27 grams olive oil
- 10 grams salt
- 180 grams all purpose flour- plus little more for kneading
- 180 grams bread flour
- “Topping”
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tbs garlic powder
- Sprinkle of parmesan cheese
Cooking Instructions for making Garlic-Parm Breadsticks
In a large bowl, combine your sugar, water and yeast. Stir together combine. Set aside 5-10min to bloom and react
In a separate bowl, mix your flours together, and salt.
Add your olive oil to the watery yeast mixture, then add 2 cups of flour and stir to combine.
Slowly add your remaining flour gradually whole mixing.
Tip into a flour surface, and knead your dough for about 3-5min.
Grease a large bowl, place your dough ball in the bowl to rise for about 20-30min.
After it’s risen, tip dough onto floured surface and divide the dough into 16 pieces. Roll into large cigar shape. Place on parchment lined baking sheet about 1-2 inches apart from each other.
Preheat your oven to 400°F and let your breadstick rise on the counter whole oven is coming to temp.
Bake your breadsticks for 6min.
Remove from oven and brush with melted garlic butter.
Place back in oven to make another 8-10 min until lightly golden brown.
When done baking. Baste with remaining garlic butter and immediately Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
