Job Description: Hair Transplant-Technician/Assistant

• Assist in hair transplantation (e.g follicle unit extraction, trimming, sorting, knowledge of recipient site making, recipient site making, implantation, graft preservation, patient care during a case, etc.)
• Provide hands-on clinical training to new staff on hair transplantation and on the Neograft FUE system.
• Leading a team of technicians in performing hair transplantation
• Ensured preparation of surgery rooms for procedures. Assist physicians with procedure by setting up and maintaining supplies, instruments and medication.
• Ensure that all grafts are cut properly utilizing backlighting and microscope equipment. Ensures that all grafts are correctly placed using magnification.
• Assist physicians with local anesthesia, medication injections, and patient monitoring
• Suture and Bandage removals.
• Order medical supplies and monthly inventory
• Provide patient follow-up (e.g. remotely or on-site) to ensure a positive patient experience
• Assist in patient consultations

Competency requirements:
Competency is based on education, training, skills and experiences. To adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must:

• Licensed practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a technician performing hair transplantation (Preferred not necessary)
• Must be able to perform all technical aspects of hair transplantation, with special experience in FUE
• Ability to teach/assist the hair transplantation procedure to physicians, technicians and explain to patients
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to understand complex technical details, but teach them in a way that is comprehensive to a broad spectrum of customer audiences
• Excellent professional conduct/customer service skills with colleagues, customers and patients
• An ability to travel for various training
• Detailed knowledge of the office practice environment (Hair transplantation office)
• Microsoft Office skills (word, email, powerpoint, excel)
