Ingredients for Pocho and White Okra Soup
- 1 kg Goat Meat
- 500 g Okra
- Cayenne Pepper 350g
- Scotch Bonnet 50g
- Seeded Locust Beans 3tbs
- Deli Locust Beans Powder 2tbs
- Onga Classic Seasoning Powder 3tbs
- Goat Meat Seasoning 1tbs
- Onions 1 small Size
- Palm Oil 11/2cksp
- Powdered Crayfish 10tbs
Cooking Instructions for making Pocho and White Okra Soup
Wash meat,season with gost meat seasoning and 1/2tsp of onga Classic Seasoning Powder,rub in to mix well,let it marinate for 30 mins, transfer to heat on low flame,don’t add water,as this soup has to be thick but a bit runny,cook till tender and done,you may top up with lil water if it gets too dry but stay near it and watch it,don’t forget to taste it to adjust with onga Classic Seasoning Powder before but gets done
Now,wash peppers,set aside rinse the locust beans to remove stones,pick it out,,add to pepper,cut and rinse onions,add it also,blend with minimal vater,till smooth
Wash okra,drain it,divide into 2,grate 1part,dice 1part
Now,heat up Oil,add meat fry on med heat for 6mins,drain,set aside,add blended pepper on med heat,cook it open,after 5mins,add powdered crayfish,onga Classic Seasoning Powder 3/4tsp,stir with a wooden spoon, before oil floats on top, taste to adjust with any ingredients of choice,add meat,mix well,once oil floats on top, remove from heat
For okra,add 1/4cup of water, locust beans powder,4tbs of crayfish,3)4tsp of onga Classic Seasoning Powder, bring to boil,add okra on low heat,you have to reduce flame to keep nutrients intact,stir well,with a wooden spoon,taste to adjust with any ingredients of choice,cook for 5-7mins max open,don’t cover it, remove from heat
Now,plate both soup by adding okra first,top with Pocho and meat
Enjoy with morsel of choice
