Ingredients for Slow cooker Beef Stroganoff
- 1 1/2 Lb beef sirloin
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms
- 2 medium onions
- Tablespoon or taste of minced garlic
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 30 oz beef broth
- 1/4 cups flour probably more
- 1 1/2 cup sour cream
- Optional mustard to taste
Cooking Instructions for making Slow cooker Beef Stroganoff
Cut beef into about 1 inch cubes and sear with cooking oil.
Place sear meat in a crock pot.
Saute diced onions with the same pan from the beef with cooking oil. Once golden brown add to the crock pot.
Slice the mushroom then place in a pot with 1/2 stick of butter and cook untill mushrooms golden brown and shrunk. Once done add to the crock pot.
Need a pot melt rest of butter add flour to make a roux. Add more butter or flour if needed. Once golden brown turn off heat slowly add beef broth little at a time. Mix add and mix so don’t get clumps.
Once all the broth is used poor the gravy in the crockpot.
Add tablespoon of minced garlic or more to taste.
Add salt and Worcestershire sauce and squirt of mustard.
Slow cook till the meat is soft. About 4 hours or more. If the gravy isn’t thick mix little water and 2 tablespoons of corn starch. Stir in the gravy.
Once meat is done and gravy is thick add sour cream to taste. Also add more salt or mustard to taste.
Poor over cooked pasta and enjoy
