Ingredients for Spicy cauliflower stuffed potato tikkis 🧅🌶️🥔
- 4-5 large potatoes 🥔 boiled
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 small size finely chopped onions 🧅
- 3 finely chopped green chillies
- 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves 🌿
- Salt to taste 🧂
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1 tsp kashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️
- 1 tsp level Chaat masala
- 1 tsp coriander & cumin powder
- 3-4 tbsp corn flour 🌽 for binding
- For stuffing:
- 11/2 cup grated cauliflower
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 2 small size finely chopped onions 🧅
- 3 finely chopped green chillies
- 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves 🌿
- 1 tsp coriander & cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 2 tbsp oil + for shallow frying
- 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
Cooking Instructions for making Spicy cauliflower stuffed potato tikkis 🧅🌶️🥔
Wash and clean potatoes 🥔, boil them. Remove from water keep aside, let it cool down, peel and mashed potatoes 🥔.
In a bowl 🥣 add, boiled mashed potatoes, oil, finely chopped onions 🧅, finely chopped green chillies, finely chopped coriander leaves 🌿, garam masala powder, Chaat masala, kashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️, coriander & cumin powder,salt, corn flour 🌽 and mix well. Cover and keep aside.
For stuffing: heat oil, add cumin seeds when start to crackle, add finely chopped onions 🧅, saute, add chopped green chillies mix well, add grated cauliflower mix well, add salt, coriander & cumin powder, kashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️, black pepper powder, Chaat masala mix well, cook for 5- 10 mins, remove from heat and keep aside.
Make equal size balls from potato mixture and flatten a ball and shape it to a cup with your fingers, if the edges crack join them with your fingers, place 1tbsp cauliflower mixture inside the cup, press down the mixture gently and bring the sides up over the stuffing and seat it well, keep aside and cover.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan frying, add tikkis cook on medium flame for at least 3 mins till the base turns firm and crisp, turn them to the other side and fry until golden & crisp and remove them on kitchen napkin.
Serve hot with tamarind chutney,green chutney, coconut chutney.
