Cooking Instructions for making Sunday Pancakes
In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
Create a small well in the centre of the flour mixture and add in the wet ingredients.
Whisk the wet ingredients together first before slowly incorporating the flour mixture.
The batter should be thick and creamy. It’s fine if it’s slightly lumpy.
Butter a non-stick pan over medium-low heat and pour a ladle of the batter. It should flatten and even out itself. If not, use your ladle to even out the batter.
*This is the time to add in any toppings if you wish (blueberries, banana slices, walnuts, etc.)!
Once the pancake starts to form some bubbles (approx. 2-3 mins), check the underside to see if it’s golden-brown.
Once golden-brown, flip the pancake and cook until golden-brown on both sides.
Stack the pancakes on a plate and cover to keep warm, but be sure to leave a small gap for the steam to escape (if not it will condense water onto your pancakes).
Top with a knob of butter and drizzle your syrup of choice. Enjoy!
