Ingredients for Vegetable Pizza
- 1 cup maida / plain flour
- 1 tsp dry active yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp oil + some more for greasing the dough
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 water, or may be little less
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 4 tomatoes, freshly pureed
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp sugar
- to taste Salt
- 8-10 fresh basil leaves
- 1 /4 cup thinly sliced yellow bell pepper
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green capsicum
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced tomatoes, deseeded
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced onion
- 1/2 cup grated processed cheese
Cooking Instructions for making Vegetable Pizza
Gather all the ingredients for the dough at one place like maida, yeast, sugar, salt, oil and water
First mix them with a spoon
Combine all of them in a mixing bowl
Then knead it properly with your hands
Knead it into a smooth dough, apply little oil on top
Cover with a moist muslin cloth
Cover and keep it for an hour
In the meantime prepare the pizza sauce, for this heat oil in a pan
Add garlic and saute for few seconds, on low heat
Then add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes
Put the chopped tomatoes in a mixer jar
And grind them into a puree
Now add this fresh tomato puree to the sauteed onion, mix well and cook on low heat, until all the moisture evaporates
Gather other ingredients for the sauce also like oregano, mixed herbs, chilli flakes, salt and fresh sweet basil
Now add oregano, mixed herbs, chilli flakes, sugar and salt to the mixture
Mix them nicely and add chopped basil in the end
The pizza sauce is ready, take it out in a bowl
Now make a big ball from dough
And roll it with the help of some dry flour, with your fingers
Now heat a pan on low heat, place the rolled out roti in the pan and spread the pizza sauce all over very nicely
Take processed cheese and grate it in a plate
Spread the grated cheese all over on the pizza
Now arrange the sliced vegetables like yellow bell peppers, green capsicum, tomato and onion, over the cheese
Sprinkle some more cheese on top and spread some basil also on top
Cover the lid and cook on lie heat for 15 – 20 minutes, until it cooks properly from both the sides
After 20 minutes you can check from the bottom, it has cooked properly
The pizza is ready to serve
Take it out in a plate and cut in triangles, sprinkle some chilli flakes and oregano on top
Serve hot with tomato sauce, from this quantity of dough 2 medium thick pizzas were made, 4 thin crust pizzas can also be made
