Ingredients for Spicy Chickpea Dip
- Ingredients:
- 1 can chickpeas, drained (about 250g chickpeas after draining)
- 1 clove garlic
- 15 g an onion
- 5 g jalapeño pepper, chopped
- 30 g extra virgin olive oil
- 15 g tablespoon lemon juice
- 5 gr spicy brown mustard
- 2 gr sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 15-30 g water (for a smoother consistency)
Cooking Instructions for making Spicy Chickpea Dip
Prep Ingredients: Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Roughly chop the garlic, onion, and jalapeño
Chop Garlic, Onion, and Jalapeño:
Add garlic, onion, and jalapeño to the Thermomix bowl.
Chop for 5 seconds / Speed 6. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Add Remaining Ingredients:
Add chickpeas, olive oil, lemon juice, mustard, salt, and black pepper.
Blend to Desired Consistency:
Blend for 1 minute / Speed 6-8, gradually increasing the speed. Scrape down the sides as needed.
If the dip is too thick, add water a little at a time (15-30g), then blend for another 10-15 seconds until smooth.
Final Adjustments:
Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice if needed.
Serve:
Scoop into a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish as desired.
